Growth and Crisis: Social Structure of Accumulation




On behalf of the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG), we are honoured to welcome you to the first conference dedicated exclusively to Social Structure of Accumulation Theory and Analysis, held in our Cairnes Graduate School of Business and Public Policy between the 2nd and the 4th of November.

The academic committee composed of Terrence McDonough at NUIG, Michael Reich at the University of California, Berkeley, and David Kotz at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst have put together the conference programme, which is also is available online on our official blog at http://ssagalway.blogspot.com/.

This conference is held with the financial support of the Social Sciences Research Centre (SSRC), the Department of Economics, the Faculty of Commerce, the Faculty of Arts and Computer Services at NUIG. Conference fee, internet access, coffee breaks, lunches, and official dinner are complimentary for presenters and session chairs.

We sincerely hope that your expectations of this conference as a space for exchange and discussion, and of the West of Ireland as an interesting and relaxing destination will be fulfilled.
